What the app does
Unrecruit connects to Gmail to find recruiter and career opportunity emails in your recent inbox. When you approve, it can label those messages and remove them from your Gmail Inbox.
Google and Gmail data we access
When you connect Gmail, the app asks for Gmail modify access and your Google email address. The app reads recent messages in your Gmail Primary inbox to decide whether each message is recruiter outreach. To classify messages, the app may process the sender, recipient, date, subject, snippet, labels, and a truncated plain-text portion of the email body.
The app uses Gmail modify access only to create or find your chosen recruiter label, apply that label to matching messages, remove matching messages from Inbox, and return messages to Inbox when requested. It does not send, delete, forward, draft, or change Gmail settings.
What we store
The app stores:
- Your app account identifier and Google email address.
- An OAuth token so the app can scan Gmail after you connect it.
- Saved preferences, including whether auto-move is enabled and your chosen recruiter label name.
- Scan result metadata, including Gmail message IDs, recruiter/not-recruiter results, the model used, and whether a message was archived.
We keep this data until you delete your account or ask us to remove it.
What we do not store
The app does not store full email bodies, subjects, senders, snippets, recipients, thread IDs, message dates, attachments, or contact lists in its database. When the app needs to show recent message details, it loads them from Gmail.
Model provider processing
To classify recruiter mail, the app sends the Gmail fields described above to Google Cloud Vertex AI. The model returns only a recruiter or not-recruiter classification.
We do not store the prompt text or model response text in our database. Google Cloud processes the prompt to provide the classification. We do not sell Gmail data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine learning models.
Limited Use disclosure
Unrecruit's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Gmail data only to provide user-facing inbox filtering features in the app.
Security
We use HTTPS for app traffic and store saved tokens and app data in access-controlled production systems. Access to production data is limited to what is needed to operate and maintain the app.
Deleting account data
You can delete your account from the signed-in app. Deletion revokes the saved Gmail token when possible, then deletes your saved connection data, scan results, and app account.
